November 12, 2025 | Women's Basketball
LOS ANGELES – Graduate student Gianna Kneepkens of UCLA Women's Basketball has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between Nov. 4-10.
Kneepkens had back-to-back 20-point outings to help lift No. 3-ranked UCLA past UC Santa Barbara in the team's home opener and No. 6-ranked Oklahoma in Sacramento Monday. Kneepkens was one of three Bruins to secure 20+ points against the Gauchos; the shooting guard nailed 4-of-8 attempts from long distance as UCLA downed UCSB 87-50.
The Duluth, Minn., native had a perfect second quarter against No. 6 Oklahoma, shooting 4-for-4 from the floor to help give the Bruins a lead they would not surrender in the top-10 win. She shot 57.7 percent from the floor (15-26 FG) and 46.2 percent from 3-point range (6-for-13) in UCLA's two wins. Kneepkens has a team-leading 49 points (16.3 PPG) through her first three games as a Bruin, and she's collecting 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for UCLA.
The shooting guard secures her first-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
