LOS ANGELES - Dave Parker and Adam Wright each scored four points, as top-ranked UCLA rolled past eighth-ranked UC San Diego, 12-4, at Canyonview Pool Sunday.
Behind the scoring of Parker and Wright, the Bruins raced out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back. UC San Diego could never mount a serious attack, converting just four times on 27 shots on goal.
UCLA, which improved to 15-2 on the season, also received a pair of goals from Matt Armato, while Matt Flesher and Sean Kern scored a goal apiece.
The Tritons fell to 15-9 with their second loss to a top-10 team in as many days. Andrew Mesic, Jonathan Samuels, Justin Wylie and Ross Mecham each scored goals before the Canyonview crowd of 884.
UCSD will next travel to Claremont College November 6 for a 2:00 pm contest. UCLA will also return to action on November 6, hosting Stanford at 3:00 pm.
