LOS ANGELES - Fifth ranked UCLA won an exhibition match Friday night by sweeping NAIA Cal Baptist in the John Wooden Center before 462.
The Bruins won 15-4, 15-4, 15-9 in 56 minutes.
Juniors Adam Naeve (.687) and Ed Ratledge (.471) led the Bruins with 11 kills apiece in two games of action. Naeve also added five blocks.
Coach Al Scates played his second team in Game 3 and it responded by recording 10 kills in 23 attempts with zero hitting errors. Freshman Matt Komer spiked five kills in the final game and sophomore Shane Igo blocked five balls.
Junior Mark Pozsgai led the Lancers, 13-4, with 18 kills.
UCLA will take a week off for final exams and return to action at Pauley Pavilion on Apr. 2 against Hawaii.
