Bruins Shocked 3-1 by Lions in Men's Volleyball

The second-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team was upset Wednesday night in Pauley Pavilion by ninth-ranked Loyola-Marymount in four games.
LMU won 15-7, 5-15, 15-10, 15-10 in one hour and 53 minutes before 521 fans. The victory was LMU's first over UCLA in 60 matches and ended the Bruins' 11-match winning streak.
The loss dropped the Bruins to 22-4 overall and 12-4 in MPSF Mountain Division play. LMU, which snapped its three-match losing skid, raised its record to 10-9 overall and 7-9 in league play.
The Bruins self-destructed in Game 4 following their final timeout at 10-10. With the Lions serving, the Bruins committed five unforced errors to lose the match.
Freshman Scott Morrow led the Bruins with 20 kills (.720) and nine blocks, followed by 18 kills from senior Ed Ratledge.
Senior Reid Priddy led the Lions with 24 kills (.161), followed by 18 from Corin Bemus and 15 from Jason Voorhees.
The Bruins host top-ranked Pepperdine Saturday, April 8 in Pauley Pavilion. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
