Senior Corrie Murphy, junior Kellie Brennan and sophomores Michala Kwasny and Asa Sandlund won two events apiece to lead the No. 10 USC women's swimming and diving team to a 164-136 upset of No. 6 UCLA at the USC McDonald's Swim Stadium on Saturday (Feb. 10).
UCLA was led by Sara Platzer, who won both the 50 (23.40) and the 100 free (50.43). Beth Goodwin closed out the regular season on a strong note after posting a win in the 100 Fly (54.37). Senior Brighid Dwyer who was also making her final appearance in dual meet action, finished second in the 100 Back (56.90). The Bruins also won both the 400 medley and free relays.
In diving, the Bruins were led by Regan Gosnell who finished third in both the three-meter (289.20) and the one-meter event (247.50).
Next up for UCLA is the Women's Pacific-10 Conference Championships on Feb.22-24 in Seattle.
