
Third-Ranked UCLA Tops UC San Diego In Men's Volleyball, 3-1

Cameron Mount and Adam Naeve recorded 17 kills each as third-ranked UCLA defeated UC San Diego, 26-30, 30-26, 30-22, 30-18, in men's volleyball action at RIMAC Arena Friday.
Mount added 11 digs and hit an impressive .464 for the match, while Naeve had five blocks and attacked at a remarkable .536 rate. On the night, the Bruins hit .424 while UCSD had a .232 attack percentage. Matt Komer added 15 kills for the Bruins, while Scott Morrow recorded 12 kills and six blocks. Setter Rich Nelson dished out 61 assists.
The Tritons, seeking their first win of the year in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, were led by Donald Chen with a match-high 19 kills. Zack Hite added 12 kills for UCSD, while Griffin Cogorno had 11 kills and 10 digs. Setter Jordan Hove recorded 55 assists in the match.
With the victory, the Bruins improved to 19-6 overall and 11-4 in the MPSF. UCSD fell to 4-20 overall and 0-16 in league competition. UCSD will host ninth-ranked UC Irvine Saturday night in a 7:00 pm match at RIMAC Arena.
