The top-ranked UCLA men's volleyball team lost 3-1 to Stanford Saturday in Palo Alto.
The Bruins (12-2, 7-1) lost 31-29, 24-30, 29-31, 25-30 before 949 fans in Burnham Pavilion.
Stanford raised its record to 8-6 overall, 7-4 in league play.
Senior Matt Komer led the Bruins with 16 kills and three aces and junior Cameron Mount added 14 kills.
Junior All-American Curt Toppel led the Cardinal with 18 kills and three aces.
In team statistics, the Cardinal out-hit the Bruins .317 to .296 and out-blocked them 9.5-7.0. Both teams recorded six aces.
The Bruins return home Tuesday night to face UC Santa Barbara at 7 p.m. in Pauley Pavilion.
