
No. 22 Arizona Too Much For UCLA

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Dee-Dee Wheeler scored 27 points to lead No. 22 Arizona to an 80-61 victory over UCLA on Saturday afternoon.
Arizona built a 42-23 halftime lead by holding the Bruins to 27 percent shooting from the field. The Bruins (11-5, 6-1 Pac-10) went on a 20-6 run to open the second half and trailed 53-47 with less than 12 minutes remaining.
But Wheeler connected on her sixth 3-pointer to halt the Bruins' momentum. Wheeler then drove in for a layup to give Arizona (12-4, 6-2) a 58-47 lead with 10:35 remaining.
Arizona freshman Shawnticine Polk scored 11 points and had 15 rebounds, her 12th double-double of the season. Aimee Grzyb added 16 points.
Michelle Greco scored 14 points and Whitney Jones added 10 for the Bruins.
