
UCLA Swept Again by BYU

The UCLA men's volleyball team lost its second straight match to BYU Saturday in Provo, UT.
BYU won 34-32, 30-26, 30-15 before 3,499 fans in 90 minutes at Smith Fieldhouse.
The loss dropped the Bruins to 4-5 overall and 1-4 in league play. The Cougars improved to 5-1 overall and in conference play.
Junior Chris Pena was the lone bright spot for the Bruins, recording 11 kills (.556), followed by six kills from sophomore Kris Kraushaar and freshman Nick Scheftic.
For the second straight night the Bruins were dominated at the net as the Cougars out-blocked them, 12-4.5.
Jonathan Alleman led BYU with 13 kills (.611).
The Bruins' next match will be at Pauley Pavilion on Wed., Feb. 5 against Cal State Northridge at 7 p.m.
