The UCLA men's volleyball team dropped a five-game decision to No.5 Lewis Wednesday night in Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins lost 30-25, 26-30, 30-25, 25-30, 15-17 in front of 417 fans in two hours and five minutes. UCLA's overall record fell to 11-9; Lewis improved to 14-3.

After winning Games 1 & 3, the Bruins hit just .121 in Game 4, while the Flyers hit .324. In Game 5, Lewis fought off two match points by UCLA and won it on a pair of kills by All-American Fabiano Barreto.

Sophomore Brennan Prahler returned to the lineup and smacked 18 kills, a career-high. He also added five total blocks. Junior Chris Pena added 17 kills (.440) and led the Bruins with nine total blocks. Junior Adam Shrader led UCLA with 12 digs.

Sophomore Gustavo Meyer led the Flyers with a match-high of 25 kills (556). Barreto added 18 and senior Kevin Miller led Lewis with 11 total blocks.

The Bruins will travel to UC Irvine Mar. 7 for a league match at 7 p.m. before returning home next week for a three-match homestand against Concordia (Mar. 12) and Hawaii (Mar. 14 and 15).
