
Jamie Dantzscher Selected UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete Of The Week

Junior Jamie Dantzscher (San Dimas, CA/San Dimas HS) of the UCLA Women's Gymnastics Team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Apr. 7-13.
Dantzscher led UCLA to its fifth consecutive NCAA Regional title on Saturday at the South Central Regionals at the University of Missouri. The Bruins scored a 197.7, the highest score at any Regional this year. In her first meet back in over a month, Dantzscher won the bars, beam and floor en route to an all-around victory with a score of 39.75.
Her individual scores included a 9.95 on bars, a career-high tying 9.925 on beam and a perfect 10 on floor. She also placed second on vault with a 9.875. Dantzscher's 10 was her 10th of the season, tying her own school record. She now has 27 perfect 10s in her career. She also kept alive her winning streak on floor, extending it to 19 consecutive meets. Dantzscher has hit all 32 routines she has competed this year.
This is Dantzscher's second UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and a school-record tying eighth of her career.
