Six More Top-Five Finishes for Bruins at Husky Invitational

The No. 10 ranked UCLA Bruin swim team ended competition on Sunday at the Husky Invitational in Federal Way, WA with six more top-five finishes, highlighted by second place finishes by Kim Scarborough (200 Back) and Nicolette Teo (200 Breast).

Both Scarborough and Teo swam NCAA "B" qualifying standards with Scarborough swimming 2:00.39 in the 200 Back and Teo swimming 2:16.16 in the 200 Breast. Courtney Iversen placed fourth in the 200 back (2:01.78) and Shannon Hackett (2:04.33) and Kristabelle Daley (2:04.38) finished third and fourth respectively in the 200 Fly.

The 400 Free Relay team of Amy Thurman, Katie Nelson, Katherine Wong, and Hackett placed fourth in a time of 3:30.63. Bruin alumnus Malin Svahnstrom won the 100 Free in a time of 50.60.

UCLA swimming and diving will be off from competition until January 19 when they host UC San Diego in the final home meet of the season.
