At the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships, held in Oklahoma City, OK, two Bruins placed in the top-10 in today's one-meter springboard competition. The top-three finishers in each event at the Zone Championships received automatic qualification for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Sophomores Paige Thompson and Amanda Blong placed eighth and ninth, respectively. Thompson scored 477.25 points and Blong scored 471.20. Sophomore Sara Clark placed 14th with a scored of 451.20. Junior Janine Strack scored 439.50, finishing 16th overall. The top-three finishers were Arizona State's Trisha Tumlinson (564.70), the Pac-10 three-meter and platform champion from two weeks ago, Hawaii's QionJie Huang (538.15), and Arizona's Mary Yarrison (533.95).

The Bruins will continue action tomorrow and wrap-up on Saturday. The NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by Texas A&M, will take place March 18-20 in College Station, TX.
