Paul Johnson Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Johnson led UCLA to its sixth and seventh consecutive victories over the weekend - a 3-1 win over Stanford and a 3-1 victory over Pacific. Against No. 9 Stanford, Johnson led all players with a season-high 22 kills and hit .545. He also had four total blocks and one ace for a total of 24.5 points. Against Pacific, he had 13 kills (.435) and added four total blocks for 15.5 points. On the week, he averaged 17.5 kills and 1.0 blocks per game for the top-ranked Bruins.
This is Johnson's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
