Junior Sara Clark led the UCLA divers on three-meter at the NCAA Zone E Championships in Oklahoma City, OK as she placed 10th overall with a score of 531.30.
"I'm really proud of Sara," said Dive Coach Tom Stebbins. "All year long she has been awesome and she just came up a little short today. It's really crushing, but I could not be more proud of any athlete I have ever coached."
Freshman Marisa Samaniego finished 12th overall with a score of 517.95, while fellow freshman Tess Schofield was 14th (505.60).
"Tess did a really great job today and hopefully she can keep it going and try for a spot at Nationals on the tower. Marisa has done a great job for us all year, and, hopefully that will continue next week at NCAA's."
Samaniego placed eighth on one-meter on Thursday, and although unofficial, should have a spot at the NCAA Championships next week in Athens, GA. With the results of 1M and 3M, Clark most likely will be named an alternate.
