Ryan Hollins Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior center Ryan Hollins (Pasadena, CA/Muir HS) of the UCLA Men's Basketball team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week (Mar. 20-26).

Hollins was selected the Oakland Regional's Most Outstanding Player, leading the Bruins to their first Final Four appearance since winning the NCAA title in 1995. In the regional final against top-seeded Memphis, Hollins scored 14 points on 6-7 shooting from the field, grabbed nine rebounds, recorded a block and a steal and drew two charges on defense. He had 12 points on 3-5 shooting from the field and 6-6 shooting from the foul line, eight rebounds and one blocked shot in the win over Gonzaga in the semifinals.

This is Hollins' first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
