Kate Richardson Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior Kate Richardson (Coquitlam, BC/Port Moody Secondary) of the UCLA Gymnastics team was selected as the UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week (Apr. 17-23).

Richardson closed out her UCLA career by winning the NCAA floor exercise title with a score of 9.95 and placing third on vault with a 9.8313. Richardson earned first-team All-America honors on those two events and added a second-team honor on balance beam to increase her career All-America haul to 13, third-most in school history. The Bruin senior co-captain and five-time NCAA champion was also named as a finalist for the Honda Award.

This is Richardson's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and fourth of her career.
