Box Score

Los Angeles, Calif. - The UCLA women's basketball team scored over 100 points for the first time since 2002 and cruised to a 107-83 victory over Cal Poly on Tuesday evening in Pauley Pavilion. Freshman guard Darxia Morris scored a collegiate-best 21 points off the bench to lead five UCLA players in double figures. She was joined by senior forward Lindsey Pluimer (18 points, eight rebounds), freshman forward Nina Earl (17 points), freshman guard Doreena Campbell (12 points, six assists, six rebounds) and freshman center Regina Rogers (10 points).

Cal Poly kept it close in the beginning, leading by as many as three (16-13 at the 15:09 mark) and as late as 13:52 in the period (18-17) before UCLA took over with a 7-0 run to take a 24-18 lead on a Pluimer three-pointer. The Bruins opened the lead up to as many as 16 points before settling for a 52-40 advantage at the half.

In the second half, Cal Poly never got closer than nine points at the start of the period and fell behind by as many as 27 points. The Bruins scored their 100th point at the 3:31 mark on a layup by Tierra Henderson and went on to total 107 points, the most scored by a UCLA team since the Bruins downed Cal State Fullerton by a 108-75 margin on Dec. 17, 1999.

All 13 players on the Bruin roster played at least three minutes, with 11 players scoring. In all three contests this year, at least four players have scored in double figures.

The Bruins improve to 3-0 and are off to their best start since 1993-94. Cal Poly drops to 2-2 on the year.

UCLA will next play third-ranked Maryland on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2 pm in a game that will be nationally televised by Fox Sports Net.
