All-American Honors For Teo At NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

NCAA Championship Day 2 Results in PDF Format 
Senior Nicolette Teo earned the first individual All-American honor of her career on Friday as she placed seventh in the 100 breaststroke at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Columbus, OH. Teo, who had earned All-America Honorable Mention honors in recent years, advanced to the finals after swimming the sixth-fastest time of the day, 1:00.58. That time was a new lifetime-best for the senior and No. 2 all-time in UCLA history. Teo finished seventh in the final in a time of 1:00.71 to put UCLA on the board with 13 points.
Arizona continues to lead all teams with 361 points. Auburn (244), Texas A&M (227), Stanford (212) and California (203) round out the top five teams after day two of competition.
Also on Friday, junior Anna Poteete swam a lifetime-best of 1:47.17 in the 200 freestyle to finish 29th overall. Junior Marisa Samaniego placed 21st in the three meter competition with a score of 276.35. Freshman Lauren Hall finished 35th in the 400 IM with a swim of 4:20.26.
On Saturday, competition wraps up for this year's National Championship as Poteete competes in the 100 freestyle, Teo swims the 200 breaststroke and Hall is entered in the 200 butterfly.
