Bruins Beat Tigers to Advance to Gold Medal Match

The UCLA men's volleyball team advanced to the gold medal match of the Husky Dino Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory over Pacific on Saturday morning in Calgary, Canada.
The Bruins won 25-20, 25-30, 25-17 to raise their tournament record to 2-1. They will meet Calgary Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Bruins hit .517 as a team with eight aces and six total blocks. They limited the Tigers to an attack percentage of .264.
Sophomore Nick Vogel was the Bruins' kill leader, recording 10 kills (.467), two block assists and a pair of aces for 13 points. Freshman Chen Levitan added nine kills (.690), four block assists and an ace for 12 points. Middle blockers Brett Perrine and Weston Dunlap each recorded six kills without a hitting error. They also combined for five total blocks and a pair of aces.
