Seventeenth-ranked UCLA climbed to fourth place Tuesday at the fifth annual Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle Country Club in San Martin, Calif.

Second-ranked Stanford took the 36-hole lead with a 10-under par score of 350 in the six-count-five format. The Cardinal (704, -16) assumed a one-stroke lead over top-ranked Oklahoma State and Duke, which were tied for second at 705 (-15). The Bruins were fourth at 709 (-11), followed by Charlotte at 710 (-10). The 49ers posted the day's best score, a 13-under par round of 347.

Individually for UCLA, sophomore Gregor Main moved into a tie for seventh place at 139 (-5) after firing a round of 67 (-5) on Tuesday. Main was six shots off the pace set by Oklahoma State's Peter Uihlein, who led the field at 11-under 133, following a 65 (-7).

Freshman Pontus Widegren posted a 69 (-3) and was tied for 13th place at 141 (-3) with teammate Pedro Figueiredo, who carded a 74 (+2). Sophomore Alex Shi Yup Kim signed for a solid 71 (-1) and was tied for 28th at 143 (-1). Freshman Mario Clemens posted an even par round of 72 and was tied for 37th at 145 (+1). Freshman Bobby Lange was tied for 82nd at 154 (+10) after posting a 76 (+4). Sophomore Beau Schoolcraft, playing as an individual, was tied for 52nd at 147 (+3), following his round of 73 (+1).
