
Jamerson Wins Pole Vault To Highlight Bruin Women At Occidental Invitational

Megan Jamerson highlighted the women's track and field team competing at the Occidental Invitational on Saturday as the senior won the pole vault with a clearance of 13.1.50.
Lindsay Rowe highlighted the sprinters as the sophomore ran a lifetime-best 12.07 to finish sixth in the 100m. Freshman Nijah Nelms finished just behind Rowe in seventh-place, running 12.12.
In the 200m, freshman Yasmin Woodruff ran just off her season-best, finishing second in a time of 23.84. That mark was a regional qualifier, but she has a better time of 23.82 this season.
Junior Rosa Magana finished eighth in the 800m with a lifetime-best run of 2:11.70.
Sophomore Aubree Stark tied for third in the vault with a mark of 11-7.75. Freshman Ke'Nyia Richardson finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 18-7.25.
The Bruins will next head to Eugene, OR for the Pac-10 Championships May 16-17.
