Senior Boldizsar Kocsor capped off his Bruin career with a fifth and final All-American honor as he finished ninth in the hammer throw competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Kocsor was in eighth-place after his sixth and final throw, improving to 212-10, but was knocked out of the scoring position by Georgia thrower John Freeman's final toss. Kocsor earns All-America honors because of the number of foreign competitors.

He ends his career as the freshman, sophomore and junior class record holder, as well as the school record holder. He earned five All-America honors during his career - three in the hammer and two in the indoor weight.

"Not everyone can say they have five All-America honors," said Kocsor. "I feel blessed that I am able to say that and that I have been able to continue the tradition of great UCLA throwers."

Also on Friday, sophomore Jonathan Clark narrowly missed the triple jump final as he jumped close to his lifetime-best in the prelim rounds. He finished 14th overall with a mark of 51-8.50 and was just inches shy of advancing to the final.

Sophomore Greg Woepse also competed in the pole vault on Friday, but no heighted.

The meet was delayed earlier in the day due to severe storm warnings that featured pouring rain, lightning, thunder, high winds and tornado warnings.
