The seventh-ranked UCLA men's golf team tied for fifth place at the U.S. Intercollegiate Tuesday, hosted at the Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto.

The Bruins posted a team score of 283 (+3) and compiled a 54-hole total of 849 (+9). Oregon fired a 276 (-4) in the final round and won by three shots (839, -1) over San Diego State, which finished second at 842 (+2). Thirty-six hole leader Washington fell to third at 843 (+3) and Oregon State captured fourth at 848 (+8) after posting the low team score of the day, 273 (-7). The Bruins tied with USC.

Individually, UCLA's Alex Shi Yup Kim was the team's top finisher, capturing 18th place at 211 (+1). Kim posted a score of one-over par 71 on Tuesday after playing the first two rounds in even par. Freshman Pedro Figueiredo tied for 19th place and carded a 72 (+2) in the final round to finish at 212 (+2). Sophomore Gregor Main and freshman Pontus Widegren tied for 24th at 213 (+3). In the final round Widegren posted an even par 70 and Main carded a 72 (+2). Freshman Mario Clemens tied for 57th at 221 (+11) after signing for a score of 74 (+4) in the final round.

Oregon's Daniel Miernicki fired a final round 64 (-6) and finished first at 202 (-8).
