The fifth-ranked UCLA men's golf team finished second Sunday at the 64th Western Intercollegiate, hosted by San Jose State at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, CA.

The Bruins posted a team score of 351 (+1) in the final round for a 54-hole total of 1,045 (-5). Fourth-ranked Oregon won the event with a three-round score of 1,038 (-12). UC Irvine placed third at 1,079 (+29), followed by fourth place San Jose State at 1,080 (+30). No. 23 Oregon State finished fifth at 1,084 (+34).

The Western Intercollegiate was a six-count-five player format.

Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Alex Shi Yup Kim led the Bruins by tying for fourth place at three-under par 210 after posting an even par round of 70 on Sunday. Freshman Pedro Figueiredo tied for seventh place at 209 (-1) following a final round score of 70 (E). Sophomore Gregor Main tied for 10th at 211 (+1) after signing for a score of 72 (+2) in the final round. Freshman Pontus Widegren owned UCLA's best score of the day -- a two-under par 68 -- and finished in a tie for 14th at 213 (+3), Freshman Mario Clemens tied for 21st at 216 (+6) following a score of 71 (+1) on Sunday. Finally, junior Connor Driscoll tied for 32nd at nine-over par 219.

Eugene Wong (202, -8) and John Paton (205, -5) finished 1-2, respectively, for Oregon.
