The No. 22 Bruins fell to No. 4 Cal 168.5-131.5 in swimming and diving action on Saturday in Berkeley. UCLA fell to 9-3 (3-3 Pac-10) on the season with today's loss. During the meet, the Bruins tallied eight season-best swims, two new NCAA "B" cut marks and had six events wins.

Divers Paulina Guzman and Laura Winn each tallied wins on the springboard events as Guzman won three-meter with a season-high score of 296.63 and Winn was first on one-meter (256.72). Guzman and Winn will now head to Iowa City, IA to compete at Senior National Qualifying on Sunday and Monday.

Sam Vanden Berge won the 1000 free for the second straight day as she posted a season-best 9:59.38 on Saturday. Anna Senko also posted a win for the second consecutive day as she was first in the 200 back with a season-best and improved NCAA "B" cut time of 1:58.11. Ting Quah got the win for the Bruins in the 200 free as she swam an NCAA "B" time and season-best mark of 1:48.58.

Brittany Beauchan saw her senior season win streak in the 200 breast come to an end as she finished second (2:16.28). Beauchan did win the 100 breast in a time of 1:02.67.

Yasi Jahanshahi saw her win streak in the fly events come to an end as she was second in both the 100 (54.47) and 200 (1:57.71) fly.

The Bruins will return home to train for their final dual meet of the year, which is against crosstown rival USC on February 12.
