Winn Finishes 11th At USA Diving National Championships

Senior diver Laura Winn wrapped up competition at the USA Senior National Championships on Saturday with an 11th-place finish on platform. Winn, along with dive coach Tom Stebbins and freshman Paulina Guzman, have been in Iowa City, IA since Sunday competing at the preliminary round and nationals. They flew to Iowa after UCLA's dual meets against Stanford and Cal last weekend.
Winn competed strongly throughout all the rounds and qualified for her first national semifinal and final during the week. She advanced to the finals after posting a lifetime-best score of 289.25 in the semifinal round. Today, Winn finished 11th overall with a score of 265.85. She had just one missed dive during the final.
Winn, Guzman and Stebbins will now return home to join the Bruins this coming Saturday, February 13th, when they take on USC in the final dual meet of the regular season.
