
No. 3 UCLA Women's Water Polo Defeats Cal Baptist, 11-5

LOS ANGELES - KK Clark and Hannah Sebenaler each tallied three goals to lead the No. 3 UCLA women's water polo team past Cal Baptist, 11-5, in a non-conference match at Spieker Aquatics Center on Saturday night.
In all, UCLA (7-1) received at least one goal from seven players.
Cal Baptist (1-5) was led by two goals each from Petra Kovacs and Kim Latschaw.
UCLA claimed a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. The Bruins got on the board with a goal from Clark at the 4:22 mark, before Sebenaler converted on a 6-on-5 opportunity with 3:25 to play. Becca Dorst scored with 2:33 left in the quarter, and Sarah Orozco added a 6-on-5 goal at the 1:22 mark.
The Bruins built a 6-1 advantage by halftime. Cal Baptist got on the board with a goal from Latschaw at the 5:32 mark in the second quarter before UCLA added two goals.
UCLA outscored the Lancers by a 4-1 margin in the third quarter to secure a 10-2 cushion. Cal Baptist cut the Bruins' advantage to 6-2 with a goal from Kovacs (7:28) before UCLA closed the frame with four consecutive goals.
Cal Baptist outscored the Bruins, 3-1, in the final quarter.
UCLA senior goalkeeper Caitlin Dement recorded 10 saves in the cage. Cal Baptist goalkeeper Camryn Rogers netted five stops.
The Bruins return to action at No. 9 San Diego State on Saturday, Feb. 18. Game time of the MPSF match is slated for 12 p.m.
