Kohala Coast, Hawai'i - The fourth-ranked UCLA men's golf team took home fifth place at the Amer Ani Invitational at the Waikoloa Kings' Course in Kohala Coast, Hawai'i.

The Bruins posted a third round score of 286 (-2) to give them a total score of 846 (-18). They finished 12 strokes behind Texas, who won the event with a score of 834 (-30) for the tournament. USC finished in second with an overall score of 839 (-25) while Stanford captured third place with a total of 844 (-20). Georgia Tech earned fourth place after shooting 845 (-19) for the tournament.

Individually, junior Pontus Widegren recorded his second top 10 finish of the year after he posted a final round 74 (+2) to finish tied for sixth place at 209 (-7). Sophomore Anton Arboleda also recorded his second top 10 finish of the season after he shot a 71 (-1) for his final round to finish in a tie for ninth place at 210 (-6). Junior Pedro Figueiredo finished strong by birdying his final three holes to post a final round 68 (-4), giving him an overall score of 211 (-5) which was good for a tie for 13th place. Senior Alex Shi Yup Kim also birdied his final three holes to shoot a final round 73 (+1) to finish in a tie for 39th at 216 (E). Finally, sophomore Patrick Cantlay recorded a 75 (+3) for his round and ended up tied for 49th place with a total of 218 (+2).

Jeffrey Kang of USC won individual medalist honors after defeating Jordan Spieth of Texas in a playoff. Both golfers posted a 205 (-11) for the tournament.
