Redshirt freshman Nicholas Scarvelis finished 19th in the shot put at the World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain on Wednesday. Scarvelis posted a mark of 61-2.75 (18.66m) in qualifying group A.
The frosh earned a spot on Team USA after finishing third at the USATF Junior National Championships in June with a throw of 63-6.75.
