
Bruins Second after Opening Round at Erin Hills

The sixth-ranked UCLA men's golf team was in second place following the opening round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate, hosted by Marquette University at the Erin Hills GC in Erin, WI.
The Bruins posted a team score of 286 (-2) and were tied for second place with SMU. Both teams trailed first-place Stanford, which carded a score of 280 (-8). Tied for fourth place were Oregon State and Northwestern at 289 (+1). Michigan, Oklahoma and Marquette were tied for sixth at 290 (+2).
Individually for the Bruins, senior Anton Arboleda, junior Manav Shah and sophomore Lorens Chan were each tied for seventh place after posting scores of 71 (-1). Junior Jay Hwang added a 73 (+2) and was tied for 33rd. Sophomore Jonathan Garrick was tied for 45th after carding a 75 (+3) on Sunday.
Sophomore Aaron Kunitomo, playing as an individual, was tied for 64th after his round of 78 (+6).
Marquette's Zach Guagert, SMU's Harry Higgs and Stanford's Patrick Rodgers were tied for first place after posting scores of 68 (-4) in the opening round.
