The #2 UCLA Men's Golf team heads north this week to compete in the 2013 Prestige Tournament, at PGA West (the Greg Norman Golf Course) in La Quinta, CA. The event will run from the 18th to the 20th, finishing on Wednesday.
The tourney features a loaded field, with six teams ranked within the top twenty nationally by Golfstat. In addition to facing #15 TCU and #16 Oklahoma State, the Bruins will butt heads with Pac-12 foes #10 USC, #12 Stanford, and #4 Washington. UCLA is coming off a dramatic playoff victory over the Huskies at the Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii, and will look to build on their success against some familiar opponents.
The Bruins will start five players, sending seven players to the tournament overall. UCLA will start two seniors, Pontus Widegren and Pedro Figueiredo, along with three underclassmen: sophomores Jake Knapp. Also traveling will be junior Jonathan Garrick.
