High School - Basketball and volleyball letterman at Santa Cruz Harbor High for coaches Mike Gruber (basketball) and Scott Akimoto (volleyball)...As a volleyball senior, he earned his team's MVP and 1st team all-league and All-CCS...Also earned Alisal All-Tournament honors as well as numerous local player of the week nominations and TCI Cablevision Player of the Game...Once recorded a triple-double of 40 kills, 18 blocks and 18 digs...Led his team to a third place league finish in 1996, his junior year, and a league championship in 1997...His team placed third in the 1997 CCS Championships...Lettered one season (1997) as a center on the basketball team.
