Kristen Lewis will serve as one of the undergraduate assistants this season. Lewis, who completed her eligibility in 2004, was a three-time All-American during her career at UCLA. Lewis is No. 3 and No. 5 on the Bruins all-time top-times list in the 200 butterfly (1:56.77) and the 100 fly (53.41) respectively. She was voted most improved twice, received the "Bruin Pride" team award and was voted by her peers as team co-captain for the 2003-2004 season.

This past summer, Lewis competed at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m and 200m butterfly, making the semi-final heats in both races. Lewis ended her career at the Olympic Trials with a best-time in the 200m fly at a 2:14.91. Her lifetime-best in the 100m fly is 1:00.77.

In 2004, Kristen became only the third female swimmer in Bruin history (Salmeen `96, Price `00) to receive an NCAA Post-Graduate scholarship.
