Quah, Troup and Incoming Freshmen Swim at Arena Grand Prix

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Junior Ting Quah, freshman Lexy Troup and incoming freshmen Nina Hayes, Linnea Mack and Brigitte Winkler all participated in last weekend's 2013 Arena Grand Prix at the George F. Haines International Swim Center. Quah made a pair of finals, while Hayes and Winkler also reached a final.

Quah swam in four events on Friday and Saturday and made the 100 Butterfly B final on day one. Her personal-best time of 1:00.71 in the final, which is faster than the FINA B standard time of 1:00.95, placed her 15th overall. On Saturday, Quah went from 2:03.39 in the preliminaries of the 200 Freestyle to 2:02.99 in the C final to finish 23rd. Quah also swam in the 50 and 100 Free.

Hayes, an incoming Backstroke and IM specialist from Livermore, Calif., made the D final in Saturday's 200 Back. Her time of 2:25.53 was 36th. Hayes also swam in the 50 and 100 Free, the 100 Back and the 100 Fly. Winkler, from Larkspur, Calif., participated in the 50, 100 and 200 Free, the 100 and 200 Breaststroke and the 200 Individual Medley. Winkler made the D final in Sunday's 100 Breast, posting a time of 1:16.05, good for 33rd.

Troup swam in five events, the 400 and 1500 Free, the 100 Fly, the 400 IM and the 200 Back, while Mack, from San Jose, Calif., participated in the 50 and 100 Free and the 100 Back.
