The Bruins battled to a 1-1 tie in the first period. Princeton scored first with a goal by Drew Hoffenberg (4:13). Junior Danny McClintick helped the Bruins avoid the shutout in the first quarter with a goal with :50 left in the first.
UCLA put four more up on the board in the second while shutting out the Tigers. Lenhart set up Farmer for a counter attack score to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead (6:16). Mirarchi then set up Farmer for another counter to give UCLA a 3-1 lead (4:43). Senior Paul Reynolds then made it 4-1 on another counter attack (2:02). UCLA also had a solid fourth quarter, outscoring Princeton 5-1. Lenhart opened the scoring again in the fourth, his second goal of the game (6:54). Connor McGoldrick put an end to the Bruins' scoring run with a rare 6-on-4 goal (6:18) to make it 12-3. Redshirt freshman Jesse Camou then returned the favor with a power play score (2:55) to push the lead back to 10. Senior David Culpan became the 13th different Bruin to score when he capitalized on a power play (0:17) to proved the 16-3 final.
The Bruins were 3-for-8 on power plays while Princeton was 1-for-10, with the only power play score coming on the 6-on-4 opportunity. Neither team attempted a penalty shot.
