Golfers in Tied for Sixth at Valspar Invitational

The Bruins posted scores of 283 (-1) and 278 (-6) for a total of 561 (-7). They trailed Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech, which were tied for first at 554 (-14). Louisiana State was third at 556 (-12), followed by SMU at 557 (-11) and Illinois at 558 (-10). UCLA was tied with Florida State.
Individually, the Bruins' Jonathan Garrick led the team with a two-round total of 137 (-5) after posting scores of 69-68. Sophomore Lorens Chan was tied for 14th at 139 (-3) following his rounds of 71-68. Tied for 32nd was senior Anton Arboleda at 142 (E) after rounds of 72-70. Junior Manav Shah was tied for 40th at 143 (+1) after carding rounds of 71-72, and Matt Pinizzotto was tied for 60th at two-over 146 after posting a pair of 73s.
Florida State's Jack Maguire was the 36-hole leader at 11-under par 131, following rounds of 65-66.
