
Bruins Tied for Third after Second Round at Sawgrass

The Bruins posted a team score of 295 (+7) – five shots better than their first round score -- and had a two round total of 593 (+19). Texas held the second round lead with a score of 5-over par 581 after posting a second-round score of 280 (-8). Host North Florida was second at 584 (+8). Alabama was fifth with a score of 602 (+26). The Bruins were tied with Oklahoma State.
Knapp made and eagle, four birdies two bogeys and a double bogey and rose 29 spots up the leader board into a tie for 13th place at 149 (+5). Junior Jonathan Garrick was tied for ninth place at 148 (+4) after posting a 75 (+3). Senior Manav Shah jumped 21 spots up the leader board with 1-over par 73 and was tied for 52nd at 155 (+11). Junior Lorens Chan and seniors Preston Valder and Jay Hwang all signed for scores of 76 (+4). Chan was tied for 21st at 6-over par 150 and Valder was a shot behind him, tied for 28th. Hwang, playing as an individual, was tied for 40th at 9-over 153.
Beau Hossler of Texas assumed the 36-hole leader at 2-under par 142 following a round of 66 (-6) on Saturday.
