SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- No. 3 UCLA (3-2) easily dispatched CSUN (1-1) by a score of 5-0 without dropping a set on Thursday morning at Annenberg Community Beach House.
The Bruins earned the first point on court one with the freshman pair of Nicole McNamara and Megan McNamara winning in straight-sets over CSUN's Julie Haake and Maddie Leiphardt, 21-12, 21-8.
UCLA took a 2-0 lead on court four when senior Karly Drolson paired with sophomore Reily Buechler to post a straight-set win over the Matadors' Nada Dragovic and Kamden Maas, 21-11, 21-15.
On court five, UCLA's junior Laurel Weaver and senior Julie Consani clinched the match, putting UCLA up 3-0 with a 21-8, 21-14 victory over CSUN's Nicolette Stork and Nicolette Pinkney.
The Bruins secured a 4-0 lead on court two after sophomore Elise Zappia and freshman Izzy Carey defeated CSUN's Katie Sato and Lauren Conati, 21-12, 21-16.
UCLA completed the sweep with a straight-set victory on court three by senior Kamila Tan and junior Jordan Anderson over the Matadors' Aeryn Owens and Kristey Markle, 21-7, 21-18.
