Ana Jih-Schiff Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week

LOS ANGELES โ€“ Ana Jih-Schiff of the No. 20 UCLA Women's Swimming and Diving team has been named the Big Ten Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Jih-Schiff led the Bruins to the Fresno State Invitational team title over the weekend in Fresno, California. The senior from Danville, California, earned a total of three event wins on the weekend, and helped the Bruins to six different podium place finishes between relays and individual events.

The senior won both the 100 IM and 200 IM, andย placed third in the 200 breaststroke individually, in addition to helping three relays earn podiums over the course of the weekend. She helped the 200 free relay take first, helped the 400 free relay to a second-place finish, and finished third as part of the 200 medley relay.

This is the first conference award of her career for Jih-Schiff.
