Ereño Leads UCLA at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The UCLA men's golf team finished 11th out of 24 teams with a score of 6-under 846 at The Prestige at PGA West Norman Course on Wednesday.
Leading the Bruins was junior Pablo Ereño who tied for seventh at 4-under with round scores of 71-68-67. The performance marked Ereño's third career top-10 finish and first of the 2023-24 season. Ereño has now shot under par in seven of his last nine rounds.
Winning the team title was Texas Tech at 33-under 819. Kansas' Cecil Belisle earned medalist honors at 13-under.
Sophomore Kyle An was UCLA's next best performer, finishing in a tie for 17th at 4-under (70-68-71). Freshman Luke Powell tidied up from his 3-over 74 in round one with a 1-under 70 and 2-under 69 in rounds two and three.
Graduate Mason Greene, seeing his first action in 2024, tied for 72nd at 5-over (76-72-70). Freshman Alex Papayoanou rounded out UCLA's five with a 110th finish at 13-over (76-72-78).
UCLA's next competition will take place at the Pauma Valley Invitational at Pauma Valley Country Club from March 18-19.
