UCLA Dominates from Start to Finish in 17–2 Rout of No. 6 Pacific

LOS ANGELES -- No. 2 UCLA (21-1, 4-1 MPSF West) scored the first 15 goals of the game and cruised to a 17-2 win over No. 6 Pacific on Senior Day on Friday evening at Dirks Pool at Spieker Aquatics Center. The Bruins improved to 56-4 all-time against the Tigers. It marked the second-largest margin of victory all-time against Pacific. The Bruins defeated the Tigers 17-1 in the 2006 season.
The Bruins' offense was paced by a game-high five goals from sophomore Ryder Dodd. He also had one assist, one steal, and won his only sprint against the Tigers. Two other Bruins scored multiple goals against Pacific, which included two goals each from sophomore Bode Brinkema and junior Ben Liechty. Liechty would finish with a game-high six points, adding four assists to his stat totals as well as one field block. Brinkema contributed one assist and one field block as well.
Redshirt sophomore Nate Tauscher got the starting nod and played the first three periods, pitching a shutout while recording one steal and 12 saves. Redshirt freshman Nick Tovani started in the fourth quarter and made one stop while allowing two scores in 5:35 of action. Redshirt freshman Joey Kent played the final 2:25 of the fourth, pitching a shutout while making one stop.
UCLA held leads of 6-0 after the first period, 10-0 at halftime, and 14-0 at the end of the third period. The Bruins won the fourth quarter, 3-2, to provide the 17-2 final.
Up Next: The Bruins travel to No. 1 USC to conclude the 2025 regular season. The game recently saw a time change as the two teams will now square off at 11:00 a.m. at Uytengsu Aquatics Center on Saturday, Nov. 15.
