UCLA Announces 2026 Women's Water Polo Schedule

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's water polo team announced its 2026 schedule today, highlighted by a nine-game home stand from Feb. 27 through March 29, which includes an MPSF game against defending NCAA Champions, Stanford (March 7) and culminates with an NCAA Semifinal rematch on "Senior Day" with LMU (March 29).
The Bruins will compete in three tournaments during the regular season, beginning with the 2026 Cal Cup (Jan. 24-25). The Bruins will face California (8:00 a.m. PT) and Stanford (2:00 p.m.) in exhibition games on Saturday, Jan. 24 and will face Fresno State (8:00 a.m.) and Long Beach State (2:00 p.m.) on Sunday, Jan. 25.
UCLA will hit the road again the following weekend to compete in the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego (Friday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb. 1 - teams and schedule to be announced at a later date).
The Bruins will open up their home slate when UC Irvine visits Dirks Pool at Spieker Aquatics Center on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1:00 p.m. PT. UCLA will head to Irvine, Calif., the following week with four games at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational (Friday, Feb. 13, through Sunday, Feb. 15). That schedule will also be announced at a later date.
UCLA will travel to the Bay Area to open MPSF play at California on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1:00 p.m. PT. Then UCLA will return home for the nine-game home stand, beginning with a league matchup with Indiana on Friday, Feb. 27 (time TBA). After the bout with the Hoosiers, the Bruins will take on the Michigan Wolverines in a non-conference game the following day (Feb. 28 at 1:00 p.m.).
That sets up the Bruins spending the entire month of March at home, which will begin with the defending NCAA Champions, Stanford, on Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. PT. UCLA will step out of conference to face Princeton on Thursday (March 12) at 1:00 p.m. PT and return to MPSF play on Saturday (March 14) with San Jose State at 1:00 p.m. PT. Capping off a busy week, the Bruins will host Fresno State in a non-conference tilt on Sunday (March 15) at 1:00 p.m. PT.
The following week, UCLA will only host one team, Harvard, on Saturday (March 21) at 1:00 p.m. PT. The Bruins return to MPSF action on the following Saturday (March 28) with a 1:00 p.m. start against Arizona State. UCLA will conclude its home slate in a rematch of its 2025 NCAA Semifinal opponent, LMU, on "Senior Day" on Sunday (March 29) at 1:00 p.m. PT.
UCLA will conclude the regular season and MPSF play with the Crosstown Splashdown at USC on Saturday (April 4) at a time to be announced.
The California Golden Bears will host the 2026 MPSF Championship on Apr. 10-12 at Spieker Aquatics Complex while UC San Diego will host the 2026 NCAA Championship on April 24-26 at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
