UCLA Places 13 Bruins on MPSF All-Academic Team

LOS ANGELESย โ UCLA Women's Water Polo placed aย total of 13ย members on theย 6-8 Sports/MPSFย Women's Water Polo 2025 All-Academic Team, the league announced today.
Highlighting the list of 2025 Bruinsย areย two three-time,ย five two-time, and six first-timeย honorees.
In order to qualify as an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a 3.00-or-better cumulative grade point average (GPA), be no lower than a sophomore in academic standing, have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions, and have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.
Senior attacker Molly Rennerย (Laguna Beach, Calif. - sociology major),ย and senior utility Nicole Struss (Laguna Beach, Calif. - communication major)ย earned MPSF All-Academic honors for the third time in their careers.
The five Bruins that were named to the MPSF All-Academic Team for the second time in their careers includesย junior utility Lily Gess (Newport Beach, Calif. - history major), junior attacker Carly McMurray (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. - sociology major), junior utility Anna Pearsonย (Irvine, Calif. - psychology major), junior utility Genoa Rossi (Laguna Beach, Calif. - sociology), and junior attacker Taylor Smith (Newport Beach, Calif. psychobiology major).
The six Bruins that landed on the 6-8 Sports/MPSF All-Academic Team for the first time in their careers in 2025 includesย redshirt sophomore utility Sienna Greenย (Mosman, Australia - pre-economics major), sophomore utility Natasha Kieckhaferย (San Juan Capistrano, Calif. - has yet to declare a major), redshirt junior attacker Emma Linebackย (Laguna Beach, Calif. - psychology major), sophomore attacker Becca Melanson (Pittsburgh, Pa. - has yet to declare a major), sophomore utility Olivia Ouellette (Los Alamitos, Calif. - has yet to declare a major),ย and sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Steeleย (Old Greenwich, Conn. - has yet to declare a major).
