Nakfoor Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week

LOS ANGELES โ Freshman Daphne Nakfoor of UCLA Women's Soccer has been selected the Student-Athlete of the Week for competitions held between Aug. 19-25.

The freshman keeper allowed just two goals in two games as the Bruins faced a pair of Top 20 opponents in No. 6 Tennessee and No. 19 BYU. In the road match at BYU, Nakfoor did not allow a goal in the run of play, conceding only a penalty kick in the 14th minute. She also had two saves in the contest, including a spectacular stop in the 73rd minute on a header just before it crossed the goal line. The freshman has played every minute in goal for the Bruins so far this season and holds a 0.67 goals against average with five saves and one shutout.
