
Men’s Golf Concludes Day One at Wohali Golf Club in Utah

COALVILLE, Utah – The UCLA men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place on Monday evening, through two rounds at The Wohali, hosted at Wohali Golf Club in Utah.
The Bruins shot 19-over 587 through 36 holes, tied with the University of San Diego in seventh place. UCLA will enter Tuesday's third and final round one stroke behind sixth-place Colorado State and six strokes from fifth-place Kansas State. The top four teams from Monday's first two rounds included Utah in first place, New Mexico in second place, Arizona State in third place and BYU in fourth place.
UCLA sophomore Logan Kim carded 2-over 144 as the Bruins' top individual performer on Monday (T-18, 73-71). Junior Alex Papayoanou finished one stroke behind Kim on the individual leaderboard (T-22, 72-73).
The Bruins' other three competitors on Monday included Baylor Larrabee (T-37, 70-79), freshman Josh Kim (T-41, 73-77) and senior Kyle An (T-49, 74-78).
Logan Kim shot a team-best even par (71) in the second round. Kim, competing in his second tournament with the Bruins, registered five birdies, one bogey and one triple bogey in the second round. He birdied four of five holes on the back nine.
UCLA will return to action at 6:30 a.m. PT (7:30 a.m. MT in Utah) on Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the third round at Wohali Golf Club.
