Six Bruins Earn All-MPSF Men's Volleyball Honors

LOS ANGELES โ Six members of the No. 1 UCLA men's volleyball team earned all-MPSF honors, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. UCLA had four student-athletes earn All-MPSF first team honors, the most of any school, while senior setter Andrew Rowan was named MPSF Player of the Year.
Four Bruins earned first-team honors as Rowan was joined on the first team by Sean Kelly, Zach Rama, and Cameron Thorne. Two more Bruins earned second-team accolades as David Decker and Micah Wong Diallo picked up the first all-conference honors of their careers.
Rowan becomes UCLA's fourth MPSF Player of the Year in the last five years. Aย senior setter from Trabuco Canyon, California,ย Rowan is the nation's leader in assists per set (11.54), while setting the nation's No. 1 offense to a .385 team hitting percentage entering the postseason. The Bruins hit at least .300 in 23 of their 27 matches and over .400 in 13 matches, with Rowan setting the offense in 93 of UCLA's 96 sets in helping guide 10 top-10 wins and 19 ranked wins along the way. Rowan is one of three players in the country who served at least 50 aces in the regular season, and at the end of the regular season, became the 13th player in MPSF history to serve 170 in his career. During the season, he became the second Bruin in the rally scoring era (since 2001) to reach 4,000 career assists. A four-time first-team all-conference selection, Rowan is UCLA'sย first-ever four-time all-MPSF first team honoree.
Kelly, a sophomore outside hitter from Manhattan Beach, California, earns first-team honors after being named honorable mention all-conference during his freshman campaign in 2025. He has recorded a team-leading 334 kills across 94 sets played, and currently sits seventh nationally in hitting percentage at .407 heading into the postseason. ย Kelly recorded double-digit kills in 17 of UCLA's 28 matches, and led the team in kills in 12 matches. The sophomore tallied a career-high 22 kills in UCLA's five-set match at Pepperdine on April 2.
Rama, a senior outside hitter from Phoenix, Arizona, earns his second career first-team honors after earning a spot on the first team in 2025. The outside hitter also earned all-MPSF freshman team honors in 2023. Rama has recorded 322 kills so far in 2026, good for a .323 hitting percentage. He recorded double-digit kills in 17 of UCLA's 28 matches, and finished with 20 or more kills on three occasions. Rama recorded a career-high 23 kills in UCLA's win over No. 6 Loyola Chicago at the First Point Collegiate Challenge, 21 kills at No. 2 Long Beach State, and 20 kills at No. 4 UC Irvine, and all three matches resulted in wins over teams ranked inside the top-6 nationally at the time the match was played.
Thorne, a senior middle blocker from Hollywood, Florida, earns his second career first-team honors after being named first team in 2025. He also earned second-team honors while playing at GCU in 2024. Elite on both offense and defense, Thorne currently leads the conference in hitting percentage at .509 heading into the postseason. The middle blocker has recorded 183 kills so far in 2026, while also adding 81 blocks. Offensively, Thorne has tallied nine kills or more on nine occasions, and added a season-high 13 kills in UCLA's four-set win over Long Beach State inside Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. Defensively, Thorne has recorded five blocks or more in six matches heading into the postseason.
Decker, a redshirt junior opposite from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, earns all-MPSF honors for the first time in his career, earning a spot on the second team. An elite server, Decker is second nationally in aces per set at .565 per set, and has totaled 52 service aces, good for second nationally. Decker has recorded 237 kills for a .348 hitting percentage heading into the postseason. He tallied a career-high 22 kills in UCLA's win over Ball State at the First Point Collegiate Challenge, and has recorded 10 or more kills 11 times in 2026.
Wong Diallo, a junior middle blocker from Los Angeles, earns his first career All-MPSF honors after earning a spot on the second team in 2026. In 77 sets played in 2026 Wong Diallo has totaled 129 kills over 200 attack attempts, good for a .520 hitting percentage. The junior has recorded two double-digit kill performances in UCLA's last four games, with a career-high 12 kills at UC Merced, followed by 11 kills in UCLA's night one win over BYU last week. Defensively, Wong Diallo has recorded 64 total blocks heading into the postseason.
Up Next: UCLA returns to action on Wednesday for the quarterfinal round of the MPSF Tournament held in Provo, Utah. UCLA, the No. 1-seed in the tournament will take on the No. 8-seed, Concordia Irvine, at 4 pm PT (5 pm MT), and the match will be broadcast on B1G+.
