Women's Golf Concludes Round One at NCAA Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The UCLA women's golf team finished in sixth place after the first round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional on Monday, hosted at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
The three-day tournament will continue with the second round on Tuesday and the final round on Wednesday. The top five teams, through 54 holes, will advance to the NCAA Women's Golf Championship field.
UCLA shot 2-over 290 on Monday, standing three strokes behind a pair of teams tied in the fourth-place slot – Eastern Michigan and ULM (Louisiana Monroe), both at 1-under 287. Florida (-5, 283) closed the day in first place, while Florida State and Wake Forest (-3, 285) were tied for second place.
Bruins' junior Jennifer Seo shot 2-under 70 in the opening round, concluding the day in a tie for seventh place. Seo had six birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey in the first round.
Freshman GaEun Athena Yoo and senior Meghan Royal carded 1-over 73 in Monday's first round, while sophomore Jen Lee shot 2-over 74. Yoo and Royal are currently tied for 22nd on the individual leaderboard. Freshman Kacey Ly finished at 4-over 76 on Monday.
Seo stands just two strokes shy of the individual leader, Eastern Michigan's Janae Leovao, after the first round. Leovao shot 4-under 68 and currently occupies sole possession of the top spot.
Team will resume play on Tuesday with tee times opening as early as 5 a.m. PT (8 a.m. ET, in Florida). UCLA will begin Round 2 from the 10th hole at 8 a.m. ET on Tuesday. Fans can access live scoring on Tuesday by clicking here (via Scoreboard).
