UCLA Wins 2025-26 Crosstown Cup Over USC

LOS ANGELES - For the second time in the last three years, UCLA claimed the Crosstown Cup โ the annual head-to-head all-sports competition with crosstown rival USC. UCLA defeated USC 115-75, the Bruins' 10th win in the season series, with a dominant 23-12-1 advantage in head-to-head matchups.
"Winning championships is the goal at UCLA and our Bruins delivered once again this year, topping the conference leaderboard with three NCAA Championships and eight Big Ten titles," said UCLA's Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond. "No game in this storied rivalry is won easily, and bringing the Crosstown Cup back to Westwood is another tremendous accomplishment for our coaches and student-athletes."
Each of the 19 sports in which UCLA and USC field teams has the opportunity to win 10 points towards the Crosstown Cup. All 10 points for a sport are awarded to the winner of the most head-to-head contests in that sport. If both schools win an equal amount of matchups in a sport, the 10 points are split. Sports that do not feature a scheduled head-to-head competition have 10 points allocated to the highest finisher among the two teams in conference championship play.
The Bruins earned the full 10 points from nine teams โ women's cross country, women's basketball, men's basketball, men's volleyball, beach volleyball, men's golf, men's tennis, men's track & field, and baseball. Five teams split the 10 points โ women's volleyball, men's water polo, women's soccer, women's water polo and women's tennis. The 115 points recorded by the Bruins are the second-most scored by either school in Crosstown Cup history. UCLA totaled 120 points in 2023-24 and 115 in 2017-18, and USC scored 115 in 2015-16.ย
While the rivalry dates back to the 1920s, the official head-to-head battle to determine an annual all-sports champion started in the 2001-02 season.ย
