Larrabee Named UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week Presented by La Victoria

LOS ANGELES – Sophomore Baylor Larrabee of UCLA Men's Golf been selected as the Student-Athlete of the Week presented by La Victoria for athletic competitions held between May 26-June 1.
Larrabee finished in a tie for sixth-place through four days of stroke play at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., from Friday through Monday. Larrabee shot 9-under 279 through four rounds, helping propel the Bruins into the eight-team field of match play, which started Tuesday, for the first time since 2015. Larrabee shot even par (72) in the fourth and final round on Monday, making par on the 18th hole to send the Bruins into a four-team tiebreak. UCLA survived the tiebreak, along with Stanford, to secure one of the final two remaining spots in the eight-team match play field. Larrabee registered his fifth top-10 finish in 13 tournaments this season, logging two rounds under 70 (he had round scores of 67-72-68-72 in four days).
The golfer secures his first-career UCLA student-athlete of the week award.
